this movie comes across as a subtle potrayal of the events that took place on and after the night,Jessica Lal,was murdered in cold blood.
The story moves at a nice pace all through the film and never do you feel that the director spent too much time adding masala.If you are the sensitive type,you might notice a tear or two creeping down your cheeks when the nation unites for Jessica's cause.
The actors,I must say,have done justice to their roles.
Vidya Balan,as Jessica's sister does well with her no make-up look as a character that grows as the events unfold.
Rani Mukherjee is very convincing as a foul mouthed reporter who basically gets into action in the second half.She is a no-bakwaas sort of a woman.Independence of the Indian single woman at it's very best.
I would not call this a paisa vasool film so as to not hurt the sentiments of the people involved but if you had read about the case and not liked how things went about,maybe you should go and watch this one.
